Privacy Policy

How SilverEdge collects, uses, and protects your information. Effective April 22, 2026.

The short version: We collect only what's needed to compare plans and help you enroll. We never sell your information. You can request access or deletion at any time at privacy@seinsurance.com.

1. Who we are

SilverEdge Insurance Advisors (“SilverEdge,” “we,” “us”) is a trade name for WWIA LLC, a licensed health insurance brokerage. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use seinsurance.com, speak with our advisors, or receive emails and text messages from us.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details: name, phone, email, mailing address, ZIP code
  • Eligibility information: date of birth, household size, estimated annual income (for ACA subsidy calculation), employment status
  • Health plan context: current insurance carrier and plan (if any), preferred doctors or hospitals, prescription list, Medicare beneficiary ID (for plan comparison with your permission)
  • Enrollment data: the information necessary to submit an application to the carrier you select
  • Communications: notes from your consultations, call recordings where required by CMS rules, email and SMS exchanges

Information we collect automatically

  • Technical details such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and pages visited
  • Cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and — with your consent — marketing

3. How we use your information

  • Prepare insurance quotes and plan recommendations
  • Submit applications to the carrier you select, on your behalf
  • Contact you about plan options, enrollment periods, annual reviews, and service issues
  • Send appointment reminders and educational material (SMS only if you opt in)
  • Comply with federal and state insurance regulations, including CMS Medicare Marketing rules and record-retention obligations
  • Investigate fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect our users

4. How we share your information

We share information only as necessary:

  • Insurance carriers — when you authorize us to submit an application or request a quote
  • Service providers — email, SMS, CRM, call analytics, and cloud hosting providers bound by contract to protect your data and use it only for services we've asked them to perform
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — when required by law, subpoena, or to cooperate with a lawful investigation
  • Successor entities — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued privacy protection

We do not sell, trade, or give away your personal information for marketing purposes. See Do Not Sell / Share My Info for more.

5. SMS and email communications

If you opt in to SMS, we send plan information, appointment reminders, AEP/OEP notices, and enrollment confirmations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Opt-in is not a condition of enrollment or any service.

Email communications include a one-click unsubscribe link in every marketing message. Transactional messages (e.g., enrollment confirmations) are sent regardless of marketing opt-in, where permitted by law.

6. How long we keep your information

  • Medicare records (CMS-regulated): 10 years, per CMS Medicare Marketing retention rules
  • ACA Marketplace applications: per IRS and HHS recordkeeping requirements (typically 7 years)
  • General consultation records: up to 7 years for business and audit purposes
  • Call recordings: as required by CMS (Medicare) or state carrier rules, then purged
  • Prospect data (no enrollment): up to 3 years, unless you request earlier deletion

7. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of data we are not legally required to retain
  • Opt out of marketing emails or SMS at any time
  • Revoke consent for data sharing with carriers (for prospective enrollments not yet submitted)

Residents of California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and other U.S. states with privacy laws have additional rights. See Do Not Sell / Share My Info and our state-specific rights page. We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), require strong authentication for internal access, log all access to sensitive records, and conduct periodic security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to minimize risk.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact privacy@seinsurance.com and we will delete it.

10. International visitors

Our services are intended for residents of the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.
